Patent 1962

Al Dula and Elwood Wehring Designed connections specifically aimed at the popular high end 2-Step Connections.
They introduced seal ring Technology that some of the major Oil Companies used exclusively instead of the 2-Step connection.
One Person at a Major Oil Company in charge of qualifying connections said that the Al’s and Elwood’s seal ring connections are the only connections can seal off Helium.
These connections were the number 2 choice and sometimes the first choice over the 2-Step connections in the 60’s and 70’s.
This continued through the 80’s however due to Oil market Down turn, all the tubular threaders down sized and there was a feeding frenzy of companies merging with other companies and other companies buying others product lines.
